Submission criteria

Ripostejournal will be glad to accept guest columns. Since this is a non-profit organization, without advertising, contributors will not be paid. However copyright will stay with the contributor, subject to the non-commercial use by the public on the web. Length should not exceed 1200 words. No changes to the text, not agreed to by the author, will be made, except for typos and the indication of metric or old English equivalents.
The Journal has no particular slant in regard to the arts, literature, architecture, travel,etc. As far as public policy is concerned, the Journal favors a much more caring approach to the environment, wilderness and human beings anywhere in the world, than is the current fashion in North America.

We have free speech, but most of us do not have solid information on which policy might be based. With notable exceptions, the corporations providing information to the public are entirely comfortable with this state of affairs. When it comes to public policy, we will not hesitate to speak out , and if our views conflict with those of the various establishments, we will be taking a small step towards the free marketplace of ideas which we need so badly. There are a whole number of voices out there, many thoughtful and informed, but they are like a single violin trying to make itself heard over the 100 tubas owned by the conglomerates.
